In-person event with performer Fortune Cookie at Caveat NYC
BOOKS AND BURLESQUE is excited to celebrate Pride month with LGBTQ+ writers and performers! Featuring award-winning and debut authors reading excerpts from their books: Sierra Greer “Annie Bot” (debut novel), Samantha Mann “Dyke Delusions: Essays and Observations” (nonfiction), Jinwoo Chong “I Leave It Up to You,” (novel), Milo Todd “The Lilac People” (debut novel) and Paul Lisicky “Song So Wild and Blue: A Life With the Music of Joni Mitchell” (nonfiction).
Each author has been paired with a spectacular burlesque or drag performer who will be creating new acts inspired by the books they read! Starring Tabby Twitch, Nina Divina, Antonio Amour and Diva LaMarr. Produced and hosted by Fortune Cookie.
Book Club Bar (197 East 3rd Street) will be selling signed copies of all featured authors’ books.
