Writing Outside of Your Lane Series: Research, Sources, and Interviews

May 15, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

3-hour class via Zoom

You’re writing outside of your lane and want to include more diversity in your work, but you’re worried you’re not researching right or don’t know where to begin. Sound familiar?

In this 3-hour class, we’ll look at the 4 elements that help you decide if a source is good, the big question to ask yourself when verifying appropriate representation in literature, the most effective and respectful way to conduct interviews, and more. We’ll also have research/critical thinking exercises, discussion, and examples from media depicting both good and bad sources and learning how to tell the difference.
